ILMEG delivers the new CDC 2000 to Uppländska Bergborrings AB

ILMEG Products AB delivers two purpose-built dust collector systems to Uppländska Bergborrnings AB to cope with demands placed on dust control during rock drilling for the expansion of Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.

”This system is a major step towards improved milieu with regard to dust control during rock drilling” says Magnus Eriksson, President of ILMEG Products AB. ”The system gathers together the drill dust from two rock drilling machines in a sealed container. Both the working environment and surrounding milieu are greatly improved with this system.

The development of the system is in line with ILMEG Product AB’s growth strategy and supports the vision to position the company to assist with environmental-protection solutions in the rock drilling and mining industries” concludes Magnus Eriksson.

The system has been developed with strong commitment from ILMEG employees in close cooperation with Uppländska Bergborrnings AB.

“Uppländska Bergborrning is constantly seeking newer, better solutions to problems. With this project, the demands placed on reducing dust during rock drilling meant that we had to find new solutions. ILMEG presented a solution which we believed in and consequently chose for the project” says Sonny Carlsson, owner of Uppländska Bergborrnings AB. ”The dust collectors are based on ILMEG’s new X-series, which we have tested for a couple of years on an Atlas Copco ROC D3 with very good results. We also have a new Atlas Copco T20 rig equipped with the same dust collector which functions perfectly” continues Sonny Carlsson.
