Report from the Vei og Anlegg exhibition in Oslo, Norway, May 10 to May 14.

Dynapac has delivered engineering control systems, asphalt fume extraction systems, to the USA since several years. In Norway the interest from the asphalt paving industry on what they call HMS, (Health, Environment and Safety) is ever increasing and the industry is constanlty looking for improvments on the HMS.

ILMEG has in co-operation with Dynapac developed the new AFC 2000 system, which is firstly, a fume extraction system to improve the working conditions. Secondly the system includes a catalytic converter to purify both the asphalt fumes and the diesel engine exhaust gases to protect the environment.

The system, which has been field tested for 1 1/2 years with very good results, is now launched on the market. Dynapac Norway AS has with two of their customers agreed to mount the AFC 2000 system on new Dynapac pavers.

Knut Krogh, Marketing Manager Dynapac Norway AS presenting the AFC 2000 system mounted on a Dynapac 121 4W at the Vei og Anlegg exhibition May 12, 2006. This machine will be in operation in the Oslo area within short.

"The interest for the AFC 2000 system has been great at the exhibition" says Knut Krogh, Marketing Manager, Dynapac Norway AS " We are looking forward to being the first on the market with this new system supporting our customers HMS development. I am pleased that the AFC 2000 system can be delivered as factory installed optional equipment on both Dynapac and Svedala Demag machines from now. Alternatively we have the possibility to offer the AFC 2000 system as a retrofit kit on machines that are already in use" Knut concludes
